Home and Away: Tane Confronts Sonny Over His Secret Connection to Beau

Tane is pulled directly into Beau’s steroid drama when a police raid brings serious allegations to the door of Summer Bay Fit. Initially unaware of what has been happening inside his own gym, Tane fully cooperates with the search, only to later discover Sonny hiding more steroids in his locker.

The discovery puts Sonny in an increasingly difficult position after he has already removed Beau’s drugs before the police can find them. With Remi refusing to stay silent and Cash beginning to suspect Sonny knows more than he is admitting, Tane now has his own reason to demand answers.

Remi sets the investigation in motion when he reports Beau to Cash and gives an official statement accusing him of supplying illegal steroids. David responds by obtaining an immediate search warrant for Summer Bay Fit, while Cash takes Beau into the station for questioning.

Tane is given no advance warning about the raid. Cash considers alerting him, but David refuses to risk compromising the investigation, meaning the arrival of officers comes as a shock.

Despite the implications for his business, Tane cooperates fully with the police. He has no reason to obstruct the search and is left facing the disturbing possibility that illegal drugs have been supplied from the gym without his knowledge.

The search ultimately finds nothing, but that is not because Remi’s information is wrong. Sonny has already removed the steroids before officers arrive, protecting Beau and preventing police from finding the evidence they were looking for.

Beau denies dealing drugs when questioned by Cash and has to be released after the search fails to uncover anything. Sonny may believe his intervention has solved the immediate problem, but Remi quickly works out what he has done.

Remi confronts Sonny and warns that removing the evidence has only delayed the truth coming out. Sonny instead feels betrayed that Remi went to the police, despite having previously refused the opportunity to confess his own involvement to Dana.

Tane is also dealing with a much more personal concern involving Beau. Harper asks him to keep Archie for another day after Beau has hit her, although Tane initially does not understand what has happened and assumes she simply wants more time alone with Beau.

When Tane later arrives with Archie, tensions rise as he confronts Beau. Harper is desperate to protect her son from the situation and makes Tane leave, while Beau continues trying to persuade her that they should leave Summer Bay together and work on their relationship away from everyone else.

Tane’s concerns about Beau and his discovery involving Sonny therefore begin colliding at Summer Bay Fit. Sonny returns to the gym and attempts to hide more steroids in his locker, despite the police having only just searched the premises.

This time, Sonny is not able to act unnoticed. Tane confronts him about his association with Beau, putting Sonny face to face with the owner of the gym where the steroid operation has been taking place.

It is a significant development for Tane, who has cooperated with police throughout and now has direct reason to question Sonny himself. What began as an allegation brought to his business by officers has suddenly become much harder to dismiss when he catches Sonny hiding steroids.

For Sonny, the number of people closing in continues to grow. Remi knows about his involvement, Cash already suspects Remi is protecting him, and Tane has now caught him with the very drugs the police were searching for.

Tane also has another reason to be increasingly wary of Beau because Harper and Archie are involved. With both the steroid operation and Beau’s behaviour towards Harper now moving closer to him, standing on the sidelines may become increasingly difficult.

Sonny succeeded in keeping the steroids away from the police once, but hiding more of them at Tane’s gym could prove a serious mistake. Tane now wants answers, and Sonny’s connection to Beau is becoming considerably harder to conceal.
