Next week's Home and Away sees several Summer Bay residents facing difficult decisions, with Eden's worsening condition leaving her family frightened about what happens next.

Lacey also takes a chance on a new relationship, Richie hopes to prove himself, and Tane struggles with the distance between himself and Archie. Here are five of the biggest stories ahead.

1. Eden faces another setback as Cash struggles

Eden and Cash try to remain positive as she receives another blood transfusion, discussing future anniversary plans and spending time with Abigail and Remi.

Cash continues seeking support from Melanie, whom he met through an online forum for people affected by Eden's illness. He even hopes to arrange a visit so Eden can meet her.

Their plans are interrupted when Eden suddenly becomes unwell. After struggling to pour herself a drink, her condition rapidly deteriorates, and Cash rushes her to hospital.

Doctor Pope discovers that Eden has suffered a serious reaction to her transfusion. With treatment options becoming limited, he suggests chelation therapy, although it involves additional risks.

Cash becomes overwhelmed and leaves the hospital. While attempting to contact Melanie for advice, he discovers that she has died, leaving him terrified about Eden's future..

Remi tries to help, but Cash turns to alcohol and eventually contacts Gary. When Gary arrives, he makes it clear that Cash needs to return to Eden.

Back at the hospital, Eden becomes so distressed by her husband's absence that she attempts to discharge herself. Cash returns before she can leave and promises to stay beside her.

Gary's comments about family also leave Remi feeling excluded, despite everything he has done to support Eden.

2. Lacey's first date with Dylan goes wrong

Lacey decides she wants to begin dating again after struggling with Theo's death, although Jo remains worried about whether her sister is ready.

Amelia encourages Lacey to give herself another chance, creating tension with Jo, who believes the advice is premature.

Lacey meets Dylan at Salt, where the evening initially goes well. However, she drinks too much and becomes increasingly flirtatious, leaving Dylan uncomfortable.

Sonny and Jo intervene and take Lacey home, where she becomes sick. The following morning, Jo continues criticising Amelia, while David is pleased that Lacey has attempted to move forward.

Dylan later reassures Sonny that he still likes Lacey and is prepared to take things slowly.

3. Richie hopes to prove himself

Richie is determined to find paid work, but his search has little success. Abigail attempts to help by asking Mali and Tane about possible employment, although neither has a vacancy.

Mali is also aware of the difficulties involving Lacey, making him reluctant to become involved.

Richie turns his attention to the Bronze Medallion course, where John sets demanding fitness and theory assessments.

During one exercise, Richie stops to help a struggling participant. John is impressed by his decision and confirms that Richie has passed the physical stage.

Richie then completes his online modules overnight, surprising John with his commitment. However, he becomes increasingly concerned about Abigail as Eden's health deteriorates, offering comfort when she struggles with the situation.

4. Tane worries about Archie

Tane receives a call from Harper revealing that Archie has fallen from a swing at daycare and been taken to hospital.

He is particularly upset that Dana was contacted before him, although he understands the practical difficulties created by living several hours away.

Alf tries to reassure Tane by discussing his experiences with Martha, but Tane snaps at him before later apologising.

Mali reminds Tane that distance does not stop him from being a good father, while Tane also tries to support Cash through Eden's medical crisis.

5. Justin and David repair their friendship

Justin feels guilty about allowing Richie to stay with him and Leah, knowing the decision has damaged his friendship with David.

The situation becomes more complicated when David learns that Amelia told Justin and Leah to keep their distance. He confronts Amelia, who apologises for speaking on his behalf.

The couple resolve their disagreement and agree to communicate more openly, although Amelia then raises another concern about her future.

With Levi preparing to return to his hospital role, Amelia may need to find another placement, potentially away from Summer Bay.

Meanwhile, Leah encourages Justin to approach David directly. Justin arrives with beers, and the two friends finally make peace over football, agreeing to spend more time together.
