Home and Away: Sonny’s lies unravel as Remi discovers the truth

Sonny’s attempts to hide the truth begin falling apart in upcoming Home and Away scenes as Remi finally realises how deeply he has become involved with Beau. A missing wallet, suspicious behaviour and another encounter at the gym all bring Remi closer to discovering what has really been happening.

Remi first becomes concerned when he notices that his wallet is missing and privately wonders whether Sonny may have taken it. His suspicions grow when he walks in on Beau confronting Sonny and immediately senses that their argument is about far more than household responsibilities.

Sonny quickly invents a story to protect Beau and himself from further questions. He claims Beau was criticising him for not doing enough to support Harper around the apartment, but Remi is not convinced by the explanation.

During a walk together, Remi asks Sonny directly about his missing credit card and makes it clear that he will not accept another lie. Sonny eventually removes the card from his pocket and hands it back, confirming that Remi was right to be worried about his behaviour.

Remi warns Sonny that he will not pay for a habit that could damage his health and recovery. However, Sonny still keeps Beau’s role hidden, leaving Remi to believe that the steroid use is entirely his own decision.

Leah soon adds another piece to the puzzle after seeing Sonny behaving strangely at the gym. When she later speaks to Remi and Justin, she explains that Sonny appeared nervous and avoidant, increasing Remi’s concern that something more serious is happening.

Remi decides to go to the gym and keep an eye on Sonny, arriving at exactly the moment Beau takes the remaining steroids from him. The exchange confirms that Beau is directly involved, while Sonny’s reaction makes it clear that their arrangement is not equal or voluntary.

At first, Remi is furious with Sonny for continuing to use steroids after everything they have discussed. Once he understands that Beau has also been forcing him to sell the supply, his anger shifts towards the man who has been exploiting Sonny’s vulnerability.

The discovery raises the question of whether Sonny will finally stop protecting Beau now that Remi knows the truth. Remi has already shown he is prepared to stand up for him, but accepting that help would mean Sonny admitting how far the situation has gone.

There is also the risk that Sonny will continue lying to Dana in the hope of protecting their relationship. With Dana quietly considering a proposal, every additional secret makes the eventual fallout more painful and gives Beau even more power over him.

Remi may now become Sonny’s best chance of escaping the steroid operation. His knowledge of Beau’s involvement could allow him to gather evidence, warn Harper and help Sonny speak openly before another deal places him in greater danger.

Beau is unlikely to release Sonny without a fight, particularly after Remi confronts him directly. His demand for half a million dollars suggests he intends to keep using fear and money to maintain control, but involving Remi may ultimately prove to be his biggest mistake.

For now, Sonny can no longer pretend that nobody has noticed his behaviour. Remi knows the truth, Leah is suspicious and Beau’s anger is becoming harder to conceal, leaving Sonny with fewer places to hide.
