Home and Away: Sonny Caught Hiding More Steroids After Police Raid

Sonny’s attempt to protect Beau threatens to unravel when Tane catches him hiding more steroids at Summer Bay Fit. It comes after Sonny successfully removes the original stash before police can find it, leaving David’s search team empty-handed and allowing Beau to deny Remi’s allegations.

Rather than taking the failed raid as his opportunity to get out, Sonny returns to the gym and becomes involved with the drugs again. This time Tane is there, leaving Sonny facing difficult questions about exactly what he has been doing with Beau.

Remi has already given Sonny an opportunity to tell Dana the truth about his involvement in the steroid operation, but Sonny refuses. Remi responds by going to Cash and formally accusing Beau of supplying illegal steroids, giving David enough information to obtain an immediate search warrant.

Cash suspects there could be another person involved because of the amount of time Sonny spends at Summer Bay Fit. He questions whether Remi is protecting his friend, but Remi refuses to implicate Sonny when he gives his statement.

That protection does not stop Sonny from taking an enormous risk. Before David and his officers arrive, Sonny gets to the steroids and removes them from the gym, preventing the search from uncovering the evidence Remi has told police about.

Tane cooperates fully when officers search Summer Bay Fit and is shocked by the allegations surrounding the business. Beau is taken to the station and questioned by Cash, but he denies dealing drugs and ultimately has to be released when the search produces nothing.

Sonny has therefore succeeded in protecting Beau from the immediate threat, but Remi quickly realises what has happened. He confronts Sonny and warns him that moving the drugs has only delayed the inevitable, believing police will eventually establish who is involved.

Sonny is furious that Remi has gone to the police and feels betrayed by his friend. Yet rather than distancing himself from the steroids after such a close call, he later returns to Summer Bay Fit and starts hiding more of them in his locker.

Tane catches him and confronts Sonny over his association with Beau. The discovery is particularly serious because Tane has only just allowed police to search his gym and now has direct evidence that Sonny is concealing steroids on the premises.

For Sonny, this could be far harder to explain away than his strange behaviour at the engagement party. Tane is no longer simply hearing an allegation about Beau or wondering why police are interested in the gym. He has caught Sonny himself with the steroids.

It also puts Tane in a difficult position. Summer Bay Fit is his business, and he has cooperated with the police investigation from the beginning. Discovering that Sonny has continued hiding steroids there after the raid gives him every reason to demand the full truth.

The situation is becoming increasingly dangerous for Sonny’s engagement as well. Dana still does not know what he has been doing, despite Remi previously urging him to confess to her, and Sonny is now taking even greater risks to keep Beau’s operation hidden.

Remi knows the truth, Cash suspects Sonny may be involved and Tane has now confronted him directly. Sonny managed to make the evidence disappear before the police arrived, but being caught hiding another supply could prove much more difficult to escape.

The failed raid may have bought Beau and Sonny some time, but Sonny’s latest decision threatens to undo that advantage almost immediately. With Tane now standing between him and another hidden stash of steroids, keeping his secret from Dana and the police is becoming increasingly difficult.
