Home and Away: Sonny Baldwin hides Beau Hammond threat from Dana Matheson

Home and Away UK viewers will see Sonny Baldwin struggle to hide Beau Hammond’s latest threat from Dana Matheson after their restaurant date is taken away from them. Sonny creates a health related excuse to explain the sudden change, but Dana quickly realises there is more behind his behaviour.

Sonny and Dana are looking forward to an evening at a fancy restaurant when Beau pulls him aside. Rather than allowing the couple to enjoy their plans, Beau insists that the reservation should be handed over to him and Harper.

The demand is connected to the money Sonny owes. Beau expects him to start making a greater effort to repay the debt, and surrendering the booking becomes the first test of whether Sonny will follow his orders.

Sonny agrees, but he cannot tell Dana why.

Sonny creates another excuse

When Sonny returns, he claims that he is feeling drained after pushing himself too hard at the gym. He suggests staying home with Archie while Beau and Harper use the restaurant table.

Dana accepts the change because she places Sonny’s health first. However, she can tell that his mood is not explained by tiredness alone.

At home, Sonny serves pasta and tries to present the evening as a reasonable alternative. Dana remains unsettled and asks whether his behaviour is connected to Remi or to losing the restaurant booking.

Sonny denies both possibilities. His response gives Dana no explanation for why he appears so unhappy about a decision he supposedly made himself.

The lie also becomes harder to maintain because Sonny returns to the gym the following morning. If he was exhausted enough to cancel their date, Dana has every reason to question why he is already working out again.

Dana begins joining the clues

Dana’s concern deepens when she later witnesses Sonny arguing with Remi. She does not hear the full conversation, but the confrontation gives her another unexplained event to add to his recent behaviour.

Sonny has now cancelled an important date, blamed his health, returned to the gym and fought with one of his closest friends. Dana challenges him because the sequence no longer makes sense.

The real threat is that Dana may begin asking other people what happened. Beau, Harper, Eden and Remi all hold different parts of the story, and Sonny cannot control what they might reveal.

Beau’s demand was meant to reinforce his control, but it may have created the first visible sign that leads Dana towards the truth. Sonny protected the debt for another evening, yet the price was making his girlfriend more suspicious than before.
