Home and Away: Sonny Baldwin faces police threat as Beau Hammond demands payment
Home and Away sees Sonny Baldwin face a police threat as Beau Hammond demands payment and Dana Matheson begins questioning his increasingly desperate lies.
Home and Away UK viewers will see Sonny Baldwin pushed into a dangerous corner next week as Beau Hammond demands repayment, Dana Matheson starts questioning his behaviour and Remi Carter threatens to involve the police. Sonny has already been trying to keep several secrets apart, but one humiliating demand from Beau begins pulling every part of his story together.
The pressure starts at home, where Dana and Sonny are looking forward to a date at a fancy restaurant. Their excitement is obvious, but Beau quickly turns the booking into something else entirely when he pulls Sonny aside and reminds him about the money he owes.
Beau does not simply ask Sonny to pay him back. He insists that Sonny and Dana hand over their dinner reservation so that he can use it with Harper Matheson, making the debt impossible for Sonny to forget even during what should have been a private evening with his girlfriend.
Sonny lies to protect Beau’s secret
Sonny cannot tell Dana why their plans have suddenly changed, so he blames his low energy on going too hard at the gym. He suggests that they stay home with Archie while Beau and Harper take the restaurant table instead.
The excuse solves the immediate problem, but it also gives Dana another reason to worry. She accepts the new plan and listens as Sonny insists that his health is the real issue, yet she can tell there is something else behind his mood.
Sonny tries to rescue the evening by serving pasta at home. Dana does not let the subject drop and asks whether his behaviour is connected to Remi Carter or to losing the dinner reservation, but Sonny denies both possibilities.
That denial matters because Dana is no longer reacting to one isolated moment. She is beginning to notice a pattern in which Sonny changes plans, withdraws emotionally and offers explanations that do not fully match what she can see.
Beau gives Sonny only 24 more hours
Sonny later approaches Beau privately, hoping that surrendering the reservation has at least reduced what he owes. Beau makes it clear that the gesture has not settled anything.
Instead, Beau tells him that the booking has bought him only another 24 hours to start paying the money back. He warns Sonny that they will have a problem if he fails to act, leaving him with a deadline but no obvious way to meet it.
The threat gives Beau even more control. Sonny is not only worried about the money itself, but also about what might happen if Dana, Harper or the rest of their household discovers why Beau has been pressuring him.
Beau’s relationship with Harper makes the situation especially uncomfortable. He is able to move through the same home, share family moments and take advantage of Sonny’s silence while Harper remains unaware of the demand made behind her back.
Remi refuses to let Eden become involved
With the deadline closing in, Sonny turns to Eden Fowler and asks to borrow money. He promises that he will repay her, but Remi overhears the request before Eden can be drawn any further into the situation.
Remi takes Sonny outside and confronts him directly. He believes Sonny is trying to find someone else to fund his drug habit and makes it clear that he will not stand by while their friends become involved.
The warning becomes far more serious when Remi says he will go to the police if Sonny asks anybody else for money. It is a firm line from someone who has clearly run out of patience with the excuses and secrecy.
Dana witnesses the confrontation from a distance. She already knows Sonny was tired and moody during their cancelled date, yet he returned to the gym the following morning and is now arguing with Remi in public.
When Dana confronts him, Sonny is forced to account for several contradictions at once. His effort to keep the truth hidden has left him surrounded by people who are all seeing different parts of the same problem.
Can Sonny keep Dana from learning the truth?
The most dangerous part of Sonny’s situation is no longer simply Beau’s deadline. Dana is now asking the right questions, Remi is prepared to involve the police and Eden has almost been pulled into the financial side of the problem.
It would not be surprising if Dana’s concern turns into a determined search for answers. She has already shown that she will not dismiss changes in Sonny’s health or mood, and his latest explanations give her little reason to stop asking.
Remi also faces a difficult decision. His police threat may have been intended to frighten Sonny into stopping, but Sonny’s desperation suggests that another request for money remains possible.
For Sonny, every attempted solution is creating a fresh risk. Giving Beau the restaurant booking has not cleared the debt, asking Eden for help has brought Remi into the dispute and lying to Dana has made her more alert than before.
