Home and Away Richie Returns and Wants Abigail Back
Home and Away sees Richie return to Summer Bay and tell Abigail he misses her before asking for another chance together.
Richie makes an unexpected return to Summer Bay in Home and Away and eventually tells Abigail the real reason he has come back.
Their reunion takes place while Abigail is already dealing with the enormous strain surrounding Eden’s illness, making the timing especially complicated.
Abigail heads to the Surf Club and is stunned to suddenly come face to face with her ex.
Her first reaction is frustration as she demands to know what Richie is doing there, but before he has the chance to properly explain himself, Abigail stops him talking and pulls him into a hug.
Richie listens as Abigail opens up about everything happening with her family.
Only afterwards does the conversation move to his own life and the reasons he has returned to Summer Bay.
He explains that he has accepted he is not cut out to be a police officer. Richie is now working in retail and appears to have had time to think about the choices he made before leaving.
Alf is far less pleased to see him back, but Richie remains focused on Abigail. He later asks her to meet him on the beach, where he finally admits what he wants.
Richie acknowledges that he messed things up between them and tells Abigail that he misses her. More importantly, he wants them to try again.
Before Abigail can give him an answer, Richie stops himself from saying too much and leaves, worried that pushing her could ruin whatever chance remains. Abigail is left to consider whether Richie’s return could really mean a second chance for them or whether their relationship belongs in the past.
