Home and Away: Remi abandons Sonny after Beau pulls him back into drug dealing

Remi reaches breaking point with Sonny in upcoming Home and Away scenes after another attempt to help his friend ends in disappointment. Sonny’s decision to walk away from medical support and return to Beau leaves Remi convinced that he can no longer rescue someone who refuses to confront his own actions.

After discovering that Beau has been supplying Sonny with steroids and pressuring him to sell them, Remi explains the alarming price Beau has demanded for his freedom. Beau wants half a million dollars before he will cut Sonny loose, turning an already dangerous arrangement into an attempted extortion scheme.

Sonny tries to explain how he became trapped, but Remi struggles to accept the excuses. He cannot believe his friend has reached the point of using steroids, taking his credit card and dealing drugs while continuing to defend the decisions that brought him there.

Despite his anger, Remi still tries to offer Sonny a practical way forward. He persuades him to attend the hospital, hoping professional help will address the steroid use and begin separating him from Beau’s influence.

Sonny is reluctant from the outset and keeps searching for a reason to leave. When Dana messages asking him to meet her at the Surf Club, he immediately focuses on the invitation, but Remi reminds him that his health and the criminal situation must take priority.

The pressure increases when Beau sends another demanding message. Overwhelmed by the hospital visit, Dana’s invitation and Beau’s threats, Sonny walks away from Remi and abandons the chance to receive help.

Sonny instead meets Beau and is ordered to handle two clients while Beau takes Harper away. The demand leaves him with no realistic opportunity to meet Dana, even though Harper reminds him that she was clearly excited to see him.

By choosing to return to Beau, Sonny misses the proposal Dana has carefully prepared at the Surf Club. She waits for him beside the decorated pool table, unaware that he has once again placed Beau’s demands ahead of their relationship.

Remi later encounters Beau and makes his position clear. He says he is no longer prepared to help Sonny escape and insists his friend will have to take responsibility for solving the problems he has created.

The question is whether Remi genuinely intends to walk away or is attempting to shock Sonny into action. After repeatedly offering help and receiving more lies in return, stepping back may be the only way he can force Sonny to understand that someone else cannot make the difficult decisions for him.

Remi may also believe that continuing to intervene gives Sonny an excuse to avoid responsibility. As long as Remi is ready to recover stolen cards, confront Beau and arrange medical support, Sonny can keep relying on him without fully committing to recovery.

However, leaving Sonny alone with Beau carries serious risks. Beau has already assaulted him, confiscated his steroid supply and forced him to deal with clients, so removing Remi’s support could leave Sonny even more vulnerable to intimidation.

There is also every chance Remi’s anger will soften once he learns that Sonny missed Dana’s proposal. Realising how much Beau’s operation has already cost his friend may convince him to intervene again, even if he refuses to offer the same unconditional support.

Dana could become the person who forces the truth into the open if she begins questioning Sonny’s weak explanation. Her heartbreak may push Remi to reveal what he knows, particularly if he believes silence is now protecting Beau rather than Sonny.

For now, Remi has reached the limit of what he feels able to tolerate. Whether his decision becomes the wake up call Sonny desperately needs or leaves him more isolated will depend on what Sonny chooses to do next.
