Home and Away Relationship Spoilers 14–18 September 2026: Breakup, First Kiss and Family Fallout

Love becomes painfully complicated in Home and Away from 14–18 September 2026, with one relationship ending just as another finally becomes physical. Dana and Sonny reach the end of the road while David and Amelia’s first kiss triggers a much deeper conflict involving grief, guilt and family loyalty.

Dana decides she cannot continue with Sonny after months of dishonesty have destroyed her trust. Sonny argues that better communication could save them, but Dana is exhausted and ultimately chooses not only to leave their home but to leave Summer Bay with Harper.

Their final goodbye is bittersweet because the feelings between them have clearly not disappeared. Sonny later tells Remi he believes he has lost Dana forever and begins facing the difficult task of rebuilding his life without her.

David and Amelia move in the opposite direction as their attraction becomes increasingly obvious. During an intimate evening together, Amelia leans in and kisses David, who initially responds before suddenly breaking away and leaving without explanation.

David later admits the problem is not Amelia but his own guilt. Moving forward feels like a betrayal of his late wife, and the emotional conflict becomes even more significant when he finally removes his wedding ring.

Lacey finds the change particularly difficult. Although she begins questioning whether she has been too harsh after talking to Mali, seeing the missing wedding ring makes the relationship with Amelia suddenly feel much more real.

Her fear eventually turns into anger and she directly tells Amelia to stay away from David. David refuses to accept that decision and tells Lacey that he wants the relationship and believes it deserves a chance.

Amelia is left wondering whether walking away would be easier than becoming the source of conflict between David and his daughter. Leah encourages her not to give up too quickly, but the romance now faces a much bigger test than simple first-date nerves.
