Home and Away: Levi’s Hand Turns Blue as Cash Faces Horrifying Rescue Decision
Levi’s life is in danger in Home and Away as his trapped hand turns blue and Cash faces a brutal decision that could leave his friend seriously injured.
Levi’s fight for survival becomes increasingly desperate when he regains consciousness with his arm still trapped beneath a huge boulder. With no immediate rescue available and his hand beginning to show alarming signs of deterioration, Cash is left facing a horrifying decision about how far he is prepared to go to free his friend.
Elsewhere, Mackenzie, Eden and Abigail return from their girls’ night completely unaware of the danger their partners are facing. It is only as the afternoon wears on without any contact that concern begins to grow over why they still haven’t heard from them.
Cash reaches trapped Levi
Mali helps Cash carefully abseil down to where Levi is trapped, but reaching him is only the beginning of the problem. The boulder pinning Levi’s arm is too large to simply move, while Levi is suffering so much pain that he continues drifting in and out of consciousness.
Cash helps Levi down painkillers before Mali lowers the remaining supplies to them. Mali then heads off through the bush in a desperate attempt to find phone reception and bring help to the stranded group.
His situation quickly becomes another race against time. Mali cannot find a signal and his phone battery is rapidly depleting, leaving Cash and Levi with no certainty that rescuers even know where they are.
Levi’s fingers begin turning blue
With Mali searching for help, Cash repeatedly tries to lift the boulder himself but gets nowhere. Levi cannot see his trapped hand, leaving Cash to tell him that his fingers are badly swollen and beginning to turn blue.
Levi immediately understands the seriousness of what Cash is describing. As a surgeon, he knows they are running out of time to protect his hand, but the only option left could cause another serious injury.
Rather than wait and risk further damage, Levi tells Cash what he needs him to do. Cash must roll the boulder away, even if freeing Levi means breaking his arm in the process.
Can Cash bring himself to do it?
The instruction leaves Cash in an awful position because there is no safe option available to him. Leaving the boulder where it is could put Levi’s hand at further risk, but moving it could cause significant damage to the arm already trapped beneath it.
For Levi, the implications could reach far beyond escaping the immediate danger. His hands are essential to his work as a surgeon, making the sight of his swollen, blue fingers particularly frightening as he understands exactly what could be at stake.
Cash now has to trust Levi’s judgement while knowing he will be the person physically moving the rock. If Levi is injured further during the rescue, Cash may be left carrying the weight of that decision even though his friend is the one telling him to act.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie, Eden and Abigail remain separated from the terrifying reality unfolding away from Summer Bay. Their growing concern suggests the silence is becoming impossible to ignore, but Levi, Cash and Mali still need to find a way out of their nightmare first.
