Home and Away Levi ready to risk crucial surgery to save Eden
Home and Away’s Levi considers delaying his crucial hand surgery so he can potentially donate stem cells to Eden, triggering a huge family clash.
Levi is prepared to put his own recovery at risk in Home and Away when the possibility of becoming Eden’s stem cell donor forces him into an impossible choice. With his sister desperately needing treatment, Levi immediately considers delaying the hand surgery that could determine whether he can fully return to medicine.
Levi is already frustrated that his operation is still weeks away because doctors have warned there is only a limited window for the best possible outcome. Everything changes when Eden points out that even if he proves compatible as a donor, recovering from surgery could make him ineligible to help her.
Levi’s response is immediate. He suggests postponing the operation so nothing stands in the way of donating if he turns out to be a match.
Eden refuses to accept that sacrifice. She knows how much Levi’s hand recovery matters to his future and argues that delaying surgery could permanently damage his own chances. Levi sees the situation differently because if his stem cells could help save Eden’s life, his career suddenly feels far less important.
The disagreement becomes heated and Levi storms out, leaving Eden determined to stop him from making a decision she believes he could regret forever. She later asks Cash to help convince Levi not to donate.
Cash refuses to take her side so easily. He tells Eden that he cannot campaign against an option that could potentially save her life, even if he understands why she wants to protect Levi. Cash and Levi later agree privately that they are not prepared to simply abandon the possibility.
Legally, Eden still has the right to reject Levi’s stem cells, but she eventually reconsiders. She admits that stopping her family from trying to save her may be unfair and agrees to let Levi undergo testing.
That leaves one huge question hanging over the family. Levi is now being tested for compatibility, but if he is a match, Eden’s survival and Levi’s own recovery could become painfully entangled.
