Netflix Reveals Full KPop Demon Hunters Dance Routines With More Tutorials on the Way
Netflix has released official dance rehearsal videos for KPop Demon Hunters, with the film's original choreographers behind full routines for How It's Done, Golden, Takedown, Soda Pop and Your Idol.
More than a year after KPop Demon Hunters became a worldwide hit, Netflix is giving viewers the chance to learn the dances behind its biggest songs, including routines that were never shown in full during the animated film.
The streaming service has released a collection of official choreography videos featuring music from HUNTR/X and their rivals, the Saja Boys. The new footage includes complete performances of "How It's Done", "Golden", "Takedown", "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol", allowing viewers to follow the original movements and formations without the interruptions of the film's action sequences.
The first release features an animated rehearsal with Rumi, Mira and Zoey performing "How It's Done", the opening number from the 2025 film. The additional videos feature real dancers performing the official choreography, with more instructional content arriving on Netflix on Monday 2 November.
Original KPop Demon Hunters choreographers return
Rather than creating new interpretations of the songs, Netflix has brought back the choreographers responsible for the film's original dance sequences.
The performers include Nain from dance collective Jam Republic, Leejung Lee of THEBLACKLABEL and South Korean performance team K-Tigers, whose work helped establish the distinctive movements of HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys.
Leejung Lee, known for her appearances on Street Woman Fighter, leads the choreography for "How It's Done", accompanied by dancers Bambi and Nara. Nain performs routines for "Golden" and "Takedown" alongside Sharon and KINA, while K-Tigers demonstrate the complete choreography for the Saja Boys' songs "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol".
The videos reveal movements and formations that audiences could not see during the film, offering a closer look at the work involved in creating performances that combine traditional K-pop choreography with animated storytelling.
More dance tutorials arrive on Netflix
The full-length performances are only part of the new release, with Netflix also introducing special episodes that explain individual movements, signature poses and group formations.
Arriving on Monday 2 November, the additional videos will feature the original choreographers demonstrating elements of the routines, making them easier to follow for people who want to recreate the performances themselves.
The complete choreography collection can be watched through Netflix's official Tudum website, where the individual videos are available alongside the animated rehearsal.
KPop Demon Hunters sequel is already confirmed
Released on Netflix in June 2025, KPop Demon Hunters follows Rumi, Mira and Zoey, three K-pop performers who secretly protect humanity from demons while pursuing their careers as members of HUNTR/X.
Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and produced by Sony Pictures Animation, the film became Netflix's most popular film of all time and enjoyed considerable success beyond the streaming platform.
Its song "Golden" won Best Original Song at the 2026 Academy Awards, while the film also collected the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
Netflix has since confirmed that a sequel is in development, with Kang and Appelhans returning to write and direct. Although a release date has not been announced, the filmmakers have signed a multiyear agreement with Netflix to develop further animated projects.
KPop Demon Hunters gets special 4K release
Collectors will also have another opportunity to revisit the film when The Criterion Collection releases KPop Demon Hunters on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday 3 November 2026.
The special edition includes a newly approved 4K master, a complete feature-length animatic introduced by the directors and a new making-of documentary exploring the production.
Additional extras include video essays, lyric videos and collectible artwork, offering a closer look at the animation, music and creative work behind the film. The announced date is for Criterion's US release, with UK availability yet to be confirmed.
With official choreography now available and further tutorials arriving, viewers have a new way to experience the music while awaiting the next film.
