Home and Away Levi reaches breaking point over fears Eden could die

Levi’s determination to remain strong for Eden begins collapsing in Home and Away as the pressure of her illness becomes too much to carry alone. With no donor match found and his family looking to him for answers, he finally admits that he has no idea whether his sister is going to survive.

Mackenzie arrives home to find Levi sitting alone in the dark, immediately recognising that something is wrong. He has been trying to support Abigail, keep Eden hopeful and answer questions about treatment while privately knowing that medicine cannot currently give him the certainty everyone wants.

The hardest moment comes when Levi admits Eden has directly asked whether she is going to die. As her brother and a doctor, he feels people expect him to produce an answer, yet the reality is that he cannot predict how her condition will develop.

Mackenzie encourages him to accept that he does not have to carry everything himself. Levi still resists the idea of bringing his parents to Summer Bay, insisting that what he really needs is sleep and time to clear his head.

The following day proves that rest has not removed the pressure. Remi, Mali and Sonny bombard him with questions about Eden and ask how they can sign up to see whether they might be suitable stem cell donors.

Levi cannot promise any of them that they could help Eden specifically. Instead, he encourages them to register because even if they cannot help his sister, they could eventually become the match another family is desperately waiting for.

Once they step away, Levi admits to Mackenzie that having so few answers makes him feel useless. He is accustomed to helping patients through medicine, but being Eden’s brother means he cannot distance himself emotionally from every failed match and every frightening possibility.

Mackenzie decides he needs family support whether he asks for it or not. She finds a private space and calls Jimmy, asking how quickly he can get to Summer Bay.

Levi has spent the entire crisis trying to hold everyone else together. Mackenzie’s intervention suggests the person supporting the family may finally need someone to arrive and support him.
