Levi receives crushing news in Home and Away when he discovers that surgery on his injured hand is no longer possible.
Levi has been hoping treatment could improve the damage and allow him to move forward. Coming up, however, he learns that the amount of scar tissue means the planned operation cannot go ahead.
The setback leaves Levi facing another difficult adjustment. His hand problems have already affected his life, and losing the possibility of surgery removes an option he had been relying on.
The timing could hardly be worse for Mackenzie. She has just discovered that the embryos they had stored have been destroyed, but seeing Levi deal with his own devastating news makes telling him even harder.
Mackenzie eventually knows she cannot shield him from what has happened. Levi therefore faces two painful developments at once as the couple are forced to reconsider plans they believed were still open to them.
