Home and Away UK viewers will see Leah Patterson seek answers from Amelia after Justin Morgan becomes convinced that the doctor has developed feelings for David Langham. Justin believes Amelia’s involvement has moved beyond ordinary professional concern, and Leah fears that any romance could damage David’s fragile recovery.

Justin pulls Leah aside at work and explains what he has noticed.

Amelia did not simply recommend counselling. She found a therapist with experience in complex trauma, helped David arrange the appointment and personally drove him there.

Justin has also seen the way she responds whenever David is discussed. Her awkward reaction when he suggested she cared about him strengthened his suspicion that there may be feelings she has not admitted.

Justin believes David is unaware

Justin does not think David has recognised anything unusual.

His attention is focused on the shooting, his daughters and the grief he still carries for his late wife. There is little indication that he is considering another relationship.

That is exactly why Justin is worried.

If Amelia does have feelings for David, he may be unable to respond clearly or understand the effect her involvement is having on him. He is entering counselling at a point when he is emotionally vulnerable and still trying to hide his struggles from Jo and Lacey.

Justin is not accusing Amelia of deliberately doing anything wrong. His concern is that personal feelings could blur the boundaries around the support she is providing.

Leah fears David could be derailed

Leah agrees that the situation needs attention.

She has heard the way David speaks about his wife and believes he is not ready for somebody new. His wedding ring remains important to him, while his first counselling session shows how difficult he finds any suggestion that he should loosen his connection to the past.

Leah worries that a romantic development could place even more pressure on him. David is already dealing with flashbacks, anger and the fear of appearing weak in front of his daughters.

The possibility of Amelia wanting something more could create confusion at a time when he needs stability.

Leah decides to find Amelia and get to the bottom of what is happening.

Is Leah protecting David or interfering?

Leah’s intentions are protective, but approaching Amelia carries risks.

Amelia has not admitted that she has romantic feelings for David. Her support could still be explained by a strong commitment to helping a patient who has experienced severe trauma.

If Leah confronts her too directly, Amelia may feel judged for showing compassion. She may also become more guarded around David, which could remove a valuable source of support.

There is also the question of whether David would want Leah and Justin discussing his personal life without him. They believe he is unaware of Amelia’s feelings, but that does not automatically give them the right to intervene.

However, Leah knows how vulnerable David currently is. She is unlikely to stand back if she believes somebody could unintentionally complicate his recovery.

Amelia’s actions raise questions

Justin’s concern is based on a series of specific choices.

Amelia personally identifies Jared as a good match for David. She offers to drive him to the appointment and walks him to the grounds of the office.

She also appears emotionally invested in whether he agrees to attend.

None of those actions proves romance. They do, however, explain why Justin has begun looking at her involvement differently.

Amelia’s awkward reaction at the Surf Club adds to the uncertainty. Rather than dismissing Justin’s implication, she exits the conversation.

That response could mean he has touched on feelings she is trying to hide. It could also mean she is uncomfortable with somebody questioning her professional relationship with a patient.

What could Leah’s confrontation reveal?

Leah’s decision sets up a conversation Amelia may not be ready to have.

If she denies any romantic interest, Leah will have to decide whether to accept her answer or continue watching closely.

If she admits that her feelings have changed, the situation becomes far more complicated. Amelia may need to reconsider whether she can remain involved in David’s care without creating confusion.

David remains unaware of the discussion happening around him. He is focused on surviving counselling and hiding his vulnerability from his daughters.

That makes the intervention especially delicate. Leah wants to protect him, but confronting Amelia could begin a chain of events that David never asked for.

The key question is whether Amelia’s kindness is simply compassionate care or whether Justin has recognised something deeper before Amelia was ready to face it herself.
