Home and Away: Leah and Lacey rebuild trust after painful argument
Lacey feels betrayed after discovering Leah has been speaking privately to Amelia, but an honest conversation helps them repair their relationship in Home and Away.
Leah and Lacey face a difficult clash in upcoming Home and Away scenes after a private conversation about David and Amelia is accidentally exposed. What begins as a painful sense of betrayal eventually becomes an important moment of honesty between them.
Lacey admits she is struggling to accept the possibility that her father could move on with Amelia. Although she understands that David deserves support, the idea of him beginning another relationship still feels deeply uncomfortable.
As Leah tries to help, she accidentally reveals that she has already been discussing the situation privately with Amelia. Lacey is stunned by the admission and storms out of the Diner, believing important decisions are being considered without her knowledge.
Leah quickly follows her and apologises for keeping those conversations from her. She explains that she was trying to support Amelia while also protecting David and his daughters during an emotionally fragile period.
Once the initial anger begins to fade, Lacey admits that her expectations for David may not be entirely fair. She knows grief has shaped the way she sees the situation, but she also recognises that her father cannot be expected to remain alone forever.
Leah then tells Lacey that she previously warned Amelia not to become too close to David. The revelation reassures Lacey that Leah has not ignored the family’s feelings, even though she has also tried to understand Amelia’s position.
Their conversation gradually becomes less about blame and more about acceptance. Leah reminds Lacey that David finding happiness again would never erase Kristina or diminish the memories they created together as a family.
Lacey begins to see that supporting her father does not mean letting go of her mother. She can continue protecting Kristina’s place in their lives while also allowing David to consider what he wants from the future.
The honesty helps repair the trust between Leah and Lacey after their argument. Rather than allowing resentment to grow, both women acknowledge the pain behind their choices and begin to understand each other more clearly.
Lacey later takes that new perspective home and tells David to choose whatever makes him happy. Her words show how far she has come, while also proving that Leah’s advice has helped her take an important step towards acceptance.
