Home and Away: Jo Langham exposes David Langham’s secret appointment lie

Home and Away UK viewers will see Jo Langham expose David Langham’s lie after discovering that his supposed medical appointment does not match his treatment schedule. Jo and Lacey Langham become increasingly suspicious when several people attempt to cover for David instead of explaining where he really is.

Jo finds a note saying David has gone for a medical checkup. The explanation immediately concerns her because she keeps track of his appointments and knows there is no reason for an additional hospital visit unless something has changed.

She shows the note to Lacey, and the sisters begin questioning whether their father has suffered a setback.

Their concern increases when they encounter Amelia, Leah and Justin. All three know David is attending counselling, but they try to protect his privacy.

The attempts at secrecy only confirm that something is being hidden.

Justin’s cover story fails

David has already told Jo that he is undergoing scans and declined her offer of a lift home.

The explanation becomes harder to believe when Justin’s story about giving him a ride from the hospital does not add up.

Jo and Lacey are now certain that the adults around them are covering for David. When he returns home, they confront him immediately and demand the truth.

The situation shows why David’s attempt to protect his daughters has backfired. Instead of sparing them from worrying about his mental state, he has led them to fear that his physical condition may have worsened.

Jo knows too much about his medical care to accept a vague explanation. Her attention to detail leaves David with little chance of maintaining the lie.

The confrontation may be uncomfortable, but it also gives him an opportunity to stop carrying the burden alone. Jo and Lacey cannot support him if he continues hiding the fact that he is struggling.
