Home and Away: Dana plans surprise proposal as Sonny hides dangerous secret

Dana moves closer to proposing to Sonny in upcoming Home and Away scenes, convinced they are equally committed to building a future together. However, her excitement comes as Sonny struggles to conceal a dangerous secret that could threaten everything they have.

Dana confides in Harper that she is seriously considering asking Sonny to marry her. Harper is thrilled by the idea and immediately supports her, believing the couple are ready to take an important step forward.

While Dana and Harper discuss the possible proposal, Sonny walks nearby with Beau and receives instructions about a customer waiting at the gym. He attempts to separate from the group so he can complete the steroid deal privately, but Dana unexpectedly decides to follow him.

Her presence leaves Sonny unable to meet the customer without exposing what he has been doing. He is forced to abandon the sale while trying to act as though nothing unusual is happening.

Dana uses their time at the gym to test how Sonny feels about their future. She wants to know whether he shares her level of commitment before she makes a decision that could shape both of their lives.

Sonny tells her that their future is constantly on his mind, but his reassurance is filled with guilt. He knows his involvement in Beau’s business could destroy the relationship he is desperate to protect, yet he remains too frightened to tell Dana the truth.

The danger of exposure grows when Sonny’s customer approaches him during the conversation. With Dana standing close by, Sonny pretends not to recognise the man and narrowly avoids having his secret uncovered.

Dana leaves the gym feeling reassured by everything Sonny has told her. She believes his words confirm that they are ready for marriage, completely unaware that he has just lied to her about a criminal deal.

Feeling more confident than ever, Dana goes to find John and tells him she may claim the celebrancy package that became available after another fundraiser winner pulled out. John is delighted for the couple and agrees to keep her possible proposal a secret.

The contrast between Dana’s happiness and Sonny’s fear makes the situation increasingly painful. While she is preparing one of the most romantic moments of their relationship, Sonny is becoming trapped in a secret life that could tear them apart.

Sonny clearly wants the same future Dana is imagining, but his choices are making that future less secure with every passing day. Unless he finds a way to break free from Beau and admit the truth, Dana’s proposal could arrive at the worst possible moment.
