Home and Away: Dana Matheson unknowingly pays Beau Hammond after Sonny Baldwin lies

Home and Away UK viewers will see Dana Matheson unknowingly provide the money Sonny Baldwin needs to pay Beau Hammond after another lie about his dispute with Remi Carter. Dana believes she is helping Sonny settle a small personal debt, but Sonny secretly sends Beau confirmation that he has the cash.

Sonny explains his argument with Remi by claiming he owes him a few hundred dollars. Dana offers to cover the amount, but Sonny initially refuses because he wants to earn the money himself.

His attempt to find work eventually leads to a trial shift at Salt. Sonny pushes himself to prove he can manage, but his legs become weak and he collapses in front of Dana.

Mackenzie ends the trial because she is concerned for his safety. Sonny returns home feeling defeated, with no job and no way to meet Beau’s demand.

Dana offers the money again

Dana repeats her offer to help. This time Sonny accepts and promises that he will repay every cent.

From Dana’s perspective, the decision protects Sonny from pushing his recovery too far. She believes she is helping him resolve the disagreement with Remi and regain some control.

Once Sonny is alone, he messages Beau and tells him that he has the money.

The private message confirms that Dana has been deceived. Her support is being used to settle a debt she knows nothing about, while the explanation involving Remi was created purely to keep her from asking about Beau.

The lie could easily unravel if Dana speaks to Remi. He knows Sonny has been searching for cash, but he would have no reason to confirm the debt Sonny described.

Dana may have solved Sonny’s immediate problem, but accepting her money places him at even greater risk of losing her trust when the truth comes out.
