Home and Away: Beau Questioned by Police as Drug Investigation Escalates

Beau finds himself at the centre of a police investigation when Remi formally accuses him of supplying illegal steroids at Summer Bay Fit. With David securing an immediate search warrant for the gym and Cash bringing Beau into the station for questioning, it appears the operation could finally be exposed.

However, the investigation hits a major obstacle before officers even begin their search. Sonny secretly removes the steroids from the gym, leaving police without the evidence they were expecting to find and giving Beau an opportunity to deny the allegations against him.

Remi's decision to involve the police comes after Sonny refuses to confess his own steroid dealing to Dana. No longer prepared to remain silent, Remi tells Cash what has been happening at Summer Bay Fit and eventually provides an official statement identifying Beau as the supplier.

Cash immediately senses there could be more to the story. He knows Sonny spends a considerable amount of time at the gym and suspects Remi may be deliberately withholding information about his involvement, but Remi refuses to implicate his friend.

David nevertheless has enough to act on and obtains an immediate search warrant. Cash considers giving Tane advance warning about the search of his gym, but David refuses to risk compromising the operation and officers arrive at Summer Bay Fit without warning.

Tane fully cooperates with the search, but the police find nothing. What they do not initially realise is that Sonny has already reached the steroids and moved them before officers arrived.

At the same time, Cash takes Beau to the station for questioning over Remi's allegations. Beau denies dealing drugs, and the failed search creates a serious problem for the investigation because police have been unable to recover anything from the gym to support the accusation.

With no evidence found, Cash has to let Beau go. Beau's release comes at an already disturbing point in his relationship with Harper. She remains shaken after he hit her, yet she arrives at the station to support him while he is being questioned.

Harper is still trying to process Beau's behaviour towards her as he attempts to explain what happened. He apologises and initially blames jealousy before talking about the violence he experienced growing up, but Harper makes clear that his childhood does not excuse him hitting her.

Beau then tells Harper that he cannot change without her in his life, placing further emotional pressure on her at a moment when she is already hurt and frightened. His release from police custody means Harper is quickly faced with him again rather than getting any real distance from the situation.

Meanwhile, Remi realises why the police search has failed. He confronts Sonny after working out that he removed the steroids, warning him that getting rid of the evidence has only delayed what is coming.

Sonny feels betrayed by Remi for involving the police, but his own actions are attracting increasing attention. Cash already suspects Remi is protecting him, while Tane soon gets another reason to question exactly what Sonny has been doing with Beau.

Sonny later returns to Summer Bay Fit and attempts to hide more steroids in his locker, only for Tane to confront him about his association with Beau. It means the failed police search has not made the problem disappear, even if Beau has temporarily walked away from the station without being charged.

Remi has now formally put Beau on the police radar, David has authorised the first search of the gym, Cash has questioned Beau and Tane is beginning to discover how close the operation has come to his own business. Beau may have denied everything and been released, but the number of people closing in on what has been happening continues to grow.
