Home and Away: Beau Hammond hides dark secret during romantic date with Harper Matheson

Home and Away UK viewers will see Beau Hammond enjoy a romantic evening with Harper Matheson while hiding the disturbing truth about how their restaurant reservation was secured. Harper believes she is spending valuable time alone with her boyfriend, but the booking originally belonged to Dana Matheson and Sonny Baldwin.

Beau has already told Harper that he wants them to protect their time together now that Archie is back in town. Harper agrees, appearing pleased that he is taking their relationship seriously.

An opportunity arrives when Dana and Sonny reveal that they have a reservation at a fancy restaurant. Beau immediately pulls Sonny aside and uses the money he owes as leverage.

He orders Sonny to surrender the booking, turning the couple’s date into an unofficial payment towards the debt.

Harper is kept completely unaware

Harper is not told about the private demand. Instead, Sonny claims that he has exhausted himself at the gym and suggests that she and Beau take the table.

The offer may look generous from the outside. Harper has no reason to believe that Sonny is acting under pressure, particularly when he insists that he and Dana are happy to remain home with Archie.

This allows Beau to present the evening as a romantic opportunity without acknowledging what it cost Sonny. He benefits from the reservation while Harper remains unaware that her boyfriend has threatened someone close to her family.

The secrecy matters because Harper is increasingly invested in the relationship. She openly calls Beau her boyfriend and agrees that they should make time for each other.

Beau is therefore receiving more trust and access to her life at the same time as he applies greater pressure to Sonny behind closed doors.

Will the restaurant date expose Beau?

Dana already knows something about the change feels wrong. Sonny’s low mood does not match his claim that he willingly gave the booking away, and she begins pressing him for answers.

If Dana discovers that Beau demanded the reservation, Harper could learn that their romantic evening was never a simple gift. She may then question whether his request for more private time was about their relationship or about increasing his control within the household.

Sonny also has less reason to protect Beau as the deadline for repayment approaches. The more Beau demands, the more likely Sonny becomes to expose the arrangement through desperation or another badly constructed lie.

For now, Beau is able to enjoy the date and maintain Harper’s trust. However, the restaurant booking creates a direct link between his public romance and the secret pressure he is placing on Sonny.
