Home and Away Amelia considers walking away after Lacey confrontation

Amelia is left questioning whether her relationship with David is worth the growing family conflict in Home and Away after Lacey angrily tells her to stay away. Just as David begins accepting that he wants to move forward, Amelia starts wondering whether walking away would make life easier for everyone

The trouble begins after Lacey notices David has removed his wedding ring and realises his feelings for Amelia are becoming more serious. Still struggling with the idea of her father moving on, she later confronts Amelia at Salt and tells her to keep away from him.

The outburst leaves Amelia caught in an impossible position. She cares about David and their first kiss confirmed the attraction between them, but she has no desire to become the person Lacey blames for changing the family she remembers.

Amelia later turns to Leah and explains what happened. Rather than dismissing Lacey’s reaction, Leah acknowledges how protective she is of her family and believes her anger is likely coming from fear rather than a genuine belief that Amelia is a bad person.

Leah encourages Amelia to give the situation time and suggests Lacey may eventually come around. Amelia is less certain and begins wondering whether the simplest answer would be to remove herself from the situation entirely.

That possibility comes just as David reaches the opposite conclusion. When he confronts Lacey, he makes clear that he wants a relationship with Amelia and believes it deserves to be given a chance.

The contrast leaves Amelia facing a difficult decision. David is finally ready to fight for what they could have, but she must decide whether she is prepared to remain while his daughter is so openly opposed to her presence.

Walking away might reduce the immediate conflict, but it would also mean ending something both David and Amelia clearly want before they have properly explored it. Leah believes Lacey needs time, yet Amelia now has to decide how much turbulence she is willing to endure while that acceptance develops.
