Home and Away 28 Sep–2 Oct: 5 Stories at Breaking Point
Five Home and Away storylines collide as Eden fights for a donor, Austin confronts Zane, Lacey challenges Amelia, and Mackenzie hides painful news.
Eden’s health crisis brings Summer Bay together, but the week also puts Zane, Mackenzie and Amelia under enormous pressure. These five stories cover what happens across the full set of episodes.
Eden collapses during a family gathering and is taken to hospital, where Cash struggles to hold himself together.
Amelia brings forward her transfusion and later says there is no sign of infection, but the treatment is causing fresh concern.
Levi gives the family a frightening warning: if Eden’s condition cannot be controlled, she could have months. Finding a stem cell donor becomes more urgent.
Mali responds by bringing a blood donation van to the Surf Club.
Remi and Sonny help promote the event, while Lacey hands out flyers and eligible visitors can register as potential stem cell donors.
Eden sees the crowd from Cash’s car but must keep her distance. John nearly stays away because of his fear of needles, before Mali helps him through a successful donation.
Zane is unable to give blood because of the rules affecting people recently released from prison. He is upset when Mali tells Remi why, and his guilt over Heidi’s injuries grows.
Marilyn uses details from Heidi’s paperwork to contact her brother Austin, who arrives demanding to see Zane.
Austin later attacks him at home, but Zane does not fight back.
After the police intervene, Zane decides against pressing charges and learns that Marilyn was the one who made the call.
David and Amelia’s relationship also faces a difficult test.
David admits he has been cautious about being seen with Amelia because of Lacey, while Lacey tells Amelia to stay away from him.
Lacey eventually apologises, and the two women manage a civil conversation.
Amelia and David continue seeing each other, although a dinner date ends in disappointment when he cancels.
Mackenzie receives an email from the IVF clinic confirming that all the embryos she and Levi had stored have been destroyed.
She cannot find a way to tell him, particularly when he learns that too much scar tissue has formed for the planned surgery on his hand. With Mali’s encouragement, Mackenzie finally tells Levi what happened.
