Hollyoaks sees Dee Dee question her feelings for Abigail

Dee Dee is struggling to work out what she really wants from Abigail in Hollyoaks, with her growing confusion threatening to complicate her family life and her chances of finding happiness with Maddox.

The trouble begins when Dee Dee is caught sneaking in after spending time with Abigail. Her family discover that she has been drinking, but rather than come clean, she tries to use Kathleen-Angel as an alibi. Ant catches Kathleen-Angel in a lie and is furious with both girls, leaving Tony to decide how to deal with his daughter’s behaviour.

Tony bans Dee Dee from her upcoming birthday party, but the situation becomes more complicated when Sienna walks in on Dee Dee and Kathleen-Angel arguing. Misunderstanding what she sees, Sienna suggests to Tony that his daughter may be confused about her feelings for Kathleen-Angel.

Concerned, Tony turns to Abigail for advice, placing the teacher in an awkward position as Dee Dee continues to struggle with her emotions.

When Ant, Ro and Dee Dee celebrate their sixteenth birthday, Tony softens after playing them a heartfelt voice message recorded by their late mum, Diane. Her words offer the teenagers advice, and Tony eventually allows Dee Dee to attend the Halloween party.

Maddox also hopes the birthday will give him an opportunity to reconnect with Dee Dee. He presents her with a heartfelt gift, but she remains more focused on Abigail than on the boy who wants another chance with her.

With her feelings still unresolved, Dee Dee begins to wonder whether pursuing a relationship with Maddox would be the better option. However, when Nancy walks in on Dee Dee and Abigail arguing, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to keep their complicated dynamic private.

Dee Dee now faces a difficult question: is Maddox the relationship she should pursue, or is her connection with Abigail something she cannot simply put aside? For now, she has no easy answers, and the uncertainty is already affecting those around her.
