Emmerdale Star Lawrence Robb Leaves Strictly After Historic Halloween Dance-Off
Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystał are the fifth couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2026 after the show's first ever three-couple dance-off.
Emmerdale actor Lawrence Robb has become the fifth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2026 following a Halloween results show that saw three couples battling to stay in the competition for the first time.
Lawrence, who plays Mackenzie Boyd in the ITV soap, and professional partner Jowita Przystał faced the judges alongside Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu, and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu. In a break from the show's usual format, all three couples were given another chance to perform before the judges decided who would be leaving.

Three Couples Battle for Their Place
The Halloween special saw Lawrence and Jowita return to the dance floor with their Tango to Ray Parker Jr's Ghostbusters, hoping their second performance would be enough to keep them in the competition.
Bethany and Nancy performed their Jive to Fifth Harmony's I'm In Love With a Monster, while Jaime and Carlos repeated their Salsa to Filthy/Gorgeous by Scissor Sisters.
With three different dance styles to consider, the judges faced an unusual decision as two couples would survive and one would be sent home.

Judges Make Their Decision
Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas all voted to eliminate Lawrence and Jowita, bringing the Emmerdale actor's Strictly journey to an end.

Motsi Mabuse's vote was not needed, although she confirmed she would also have chosen to send Lawrence home.
The unanimous decision meant Bethany and Nancy, along with Jaime and Carlos, secured their places in next week's show.

What Does Lawrence's Exit Mean for Emmerdale?
Lawrence was announced as the twelfth celebrity joining this year's Strictly line-up in August, taking on the ballroom competition alongside his role as Mackenzie Boyd in Emmerdale.
His appearance on the BBC programme came during a break from filming the ITV soap, where Mack's departure has been explained through a storyline involving a move to Germany.

When Is Strictly Come Dancing Back?
With Lawrence and Jowita now out of the competition, Bethany and Jaime have another opportunity to impress the judges after surviving the show's first three-way dance-off.
Strictly Come Dancing continues next weekend on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with the remaining celebrities returning to the ballroom for another round of performances.
