Five huge new routes transform London airport from next spring
Porter Airlines is launching five new year-round routes from London, Ontario to Vancouver, Halifax, Ottawa, Montréal and Edmonton in spring 2027.
London International Airport is getting five new year-round routes next spring as Porter Airlines dramatically expands its presence in southwestern Ontario.
The Canadian airline will connect London directly with Vancouver, Halifax, Ottawa, Montréal and Edmonton, giving travellers new nonstop links stretching from Canada's Atlantic coast to the Pacific.
Five routes arrive within weeks
Flights to Vancouver, Halifax, Ottawa and Montréal begin on 12 April 2027, with Edmonton following on 6 May.
Vancouver will operate up to 11 times a week, while Halifax and Edmonton reach daily frequency. Ottawa and Montréal receive the biggest schedules, with up to 20 flights each week allowing some passengers to make same-day return trips.
The expansion is particularly significant because Porter only announced its arrival at London International Airport in August. Its first routes from the airport launch this winter to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Cancún and Montego Bay.
Adding the five domestic destinations means London will quickly develop into a considerably larger part of Porter's network.
The airline will use a mixture of Embraer E195-E2 jets and Dash 8-400 aircraft, both of which avoid middle seats. Complimentary snacks, beer and wine are included, while the larger Embraer aircraft also offer free Wi-Fi.
For Montréal passengers, flights use the newer Montréal Metropolitan Airport rather than Montréal-Trudeau, with the terminal around 30 minutes from downtown.
All five new routes are already on sale for travel in 2027.
