Emmerdale's Lewis could change Kev's decision over Ruby's robbery plan

Lewis may prove to be the biggest obstacle to Ruby's robbery plan as Kev weighs up whether to return to crime.

Kev finds himself facing an impossible choice in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, but it may not be Ruby who has the biggest influence over his decision.

Ruby believes Kev is the perfect person to steal a haulage delivery linked to Jimmy, hoping his criminal past will persuade him to take on one last job. While she sees an opportunity, Kev sees everything he has spent years trying to leave behind.

Just as Ruby approaches him, Kev is continuing to build a relationship with Lewis. The pair spend time together after Lewis reveals he never learned to ride a bike, giving Kev a chance to step into the fatherly role he has missed for so many years.

Although the lesson ends with Lewis taking a tumble, it also highlights how much their relationship is growing. Kev is no longer thinking only about himself. Every decision he makes now has the potential to affect someone else.

That could make Ruby's proposal much harder to accept. Returning to crime would bring obvious risks. If anything went wrong, Kev could lose the trust he has only recently started building with Lewis, while also throwing away the fresh start he has worked so hard to create.

Ruby may believe money will be enough to tempt him, but Lewis represents something far more valuable. Their growing bond offers Kev the chance to build a future instead of revisiting his past.

Whether that is enough to make Kev reject Ruby's offer remains to be seen, but Lewis may already have become the strongest reason for him to walk away.
