Kev's determination to leave his criminal past behind is pushed to breaking point in upcoming Emmerdale scenes when Ruby approaches him with a dangerous proposal that could change everything he has worked towards.

Ruby has a clear plan in mind. She wants Kev to steal a new haulage contract secured by Jimmy, believing his past makes him the perfect person for the job. While Kev has spent years trying to distance himself from crime, the temptation is difficult to ignore as he tries to build a better future.

Money remains a major concern for Kev, particularly now Lewis has become part of his life. Providing for his son has given him a fresh purpose, but it has also brought new pressures. Ruby knows exactly where to apply that pressure, believing Kev's financial worries could persuade him to cross a line he has spent years avoiding.

Although Ruby expects Kev to seriously consider the robbery, another part of his life begins pulling him in the opposite direction. Lewis arrives with a simple request that reminds Kev what really matters, giving father and son the opportunity to spend valuable time together.

Instead of asking for money or favours, Lewis admits he never learned to ride a bike as a child. Kev immediately offers to teach him, putting Ruby's proposal to one side while focusing on creating memories he never thought he would have.

The contrast between the two situations could not be greater. One path would drag Kev back into the criminal world he fought to escape, while the other offers him the chance to become the father Lewis has always wanted.

Even so, walking away from Ruby's offer may not be as straightforward as it seems. With money tight and Jimmy's business firmly in Ruby's sights, Kev finds himself caught between doing the right thing and protecting the future he hopes to build.

Whether he ultimately refuses the robbery or gives in to temptation remains to be seen, but Lewis has already reminded him there is now far more at stake than just his own future.
