Caleb might think he is clever enough to handle Sadie in Emmerdale, but Cain has one very good reason for warning his brother to stay away: he's already survived her himself.
Coming up, Cain becomes suspicious when Sadie announces she is sticking around. He warns Caleb that she could destroy his life, only for a confident Caleb to insist he can handle her.
Cain and Sadie have serious history
Their relationship goes back more than 20 years.
Sadie originally recruited Cain to compromise Charity and wreck her wedding to Tom King, before Cain and Sadie themselves became lovers.
Things became considerably darker from there.
Sadie later paid Cain to sabotage the Kings' show home, and the pair eventually plotted to kidnap Tom for ransom before Cain double-crossed her and escaped with the money.
That history is why Cain knows Sadie's methods better than most. Viewers haven't forgotten either.
Discussing Sadie's return online, one fan summed up their distrust brilliantly: “If her lips were moving she’s lying!” Others questioned whether even her recent emotional revelations to Cain could be trusted.
Now Sadie plans to seduce Caleb while simultaneously gaining Ruby's confidence. Caleb may think he's entering a battle of wits, but Cain knows from bitter experience that Sadie rarely plays by anybody else's rules.
