Emmerdale 11 to 16 October spoilers put Vinny in court
Vinny faces court with his family behind him as Sadie targets Caleb, Joe begins another plot and Samson’s return reopens old wounds.
Vinny Dingle faces a frightening day in court as his family rallies around him ahead of an uncertain appearance.
Mandy invites Vinny home for tea and he is amazed to discover the wider family waiting for him. Feeling their support leaves Vinny ready to face his court date, although his nerves quickly return as the hearing approaches.

Mandy and Paddy try to reassure him that he will be back with them in no time, but Vinny is clearly worried about what lies ahead. His fear is obvious when he eventually reaches court, while Mandy is later left struggling herself.
Elsewhere in the Dingle family, Cain is frustrated by the meagre turnout for Zak’s memorial. Sam and Lydia are increasingly excited about Samson returning home from prison, but Sam decides to keep the news to himself when Cain arrives in a bad mood.

For Matty Barton, Samson’s return brings very different emotions. The prospect of having him back reopens painful wounds, with battle lines drawn between Moira and Sam and Lydia.
The situation becomes even more difficult because Matty has moved into the room Sam and Lydia had earmarked for Samson. Moira meddles as tensions remain high, but events eventually leave Matty appearing downstairs with a suitcase. Moira begs him not to move out, only for Matty to tell her that she needs to forgive Samson.

Sadie King is meanwhile making herself useful to Joe Tate. After Laurel angrily confronts her in the pub, Sadie tells Ruby Miligan about a previous controlling relationship and privately appears pleased to have drawn her in.
Joe later asks Sadie to spy on the Miligans and obtain evidence that could destroy them. She initially hesitates, but desperation eventually wins out. Vanessa Woodfield then lets a secret slip, prompting Sadie to press her for more information before trying to get Caleb alone. Sadie soon realises that seducing him may not be easy.

Joe has earlier been brought back to Home Farm drunk by Thea Ramsden, with Kim thanking Thea for her leniency. He later appears carrying a brown briefcase as another plot begins taking shape.
Aaron Dingle also receives keys from an emotional Gabby and Laurel. Robert privately explains everything and promises to stop scheming once the deal goes through. Robert later questions whether Claudette Anderson is really as good as people say.

Nicola King is grateful for Bob Hope’s support too, although Bob has received bad news himself.
