Zoe’s post-mortem results bring another difficult development for Kat as questions surrounding her daughter’s sudden death deepen her devastating grief.
Kat faces another painful development in upcoming EastEnders scenes when Zoe’s post-mortem results raise further questions following her sudden death.
Zoe had suffered a head injury before going to bed, but there had been nothing to suggest that she was fatally ill. Kat therefore had no warning of what she was going to discover when she entered her daughter’s bedroom the following morning.
The results of the post-mortem now leave Kat with even more to process at a time when she is already struggling to function.
Her grief has seen her withdraw from those closest to her, including Alfie. She also reacts badly when she discovers the family holding a vigil for Zoe, ordering everybody from her daughter’s bedroom because she cannot cope with their grief alongside her own.
As Kat continues struggling, Sharon attempts to reach out to her. Sharon knows the devastating reality of losing a child following Denny’s death, giving her an understanding of the kind of pain Kat is experiencing. She tries to offer the support Kat desperately needs, although accepting help remains incredibly difficult for the grieving mum.
