EastEnders Suki Panesar is unaware Ash has not forgiven her

Suki’s efforts to reconnect with Ash face an obstacle she does not know about in upcoming EastEnders scenes. Although mother and daughter have reconciled after an argument, Ash has not forgiven her, leaving their relationship less settled than it appears.

Ash’s return has already brought a series of uncomfortable encounters alongside the happier reason for her visit. She says she has come to meet Penny and Vinny’s newborn, arriving just as they are bringing their baby home.

Vinny’s first reunion with his sister takes place at the police station, where he expects to find Suki needing help. Instead, Ash is in custody following an arrest for drunk and disorderly behaviour, giving her homecoming an unexpected beginning.

She then surprises Penny and Vinny by announcing that she intends to remain for several weeks. That makes the question of reconnecting with Suki more immediate, but Suki initially refuses to make contact with her daughter.

Eve encourages a conversation, and Suki eventually agrees to speak to Ash. However, Ash has overheard the discussion, meaning she knows about the reluctance that came before her mother’s change of mind.

Their difficulties surface again when a remark about Suki’s parenting leads to renewed tension. Eve helps them reconcile, bringing a welcome improvement after a visit that has repeatedly placed their relationship under strain.

The agreement is followed by another painful moment for Ash, as Suki explains that she cannot stay. Suki says she and Eve need to focus on Ria, but Ash is left feeling rejected despite their efforts to make peace.

Coming up, Vinny and Ash share a heart-to-heart, giving the siblings an opportunity for a more personal conversation. Vinny has been involved since the call to the police station, and now his role moves beyond dealing with the practicalities of her arrival.

Suki also tries to build a relationship with her daughter, continuing to make an effort after their argument. What she does not realise is that Ash’s hurt has survived the reconciliation, and forgiveness has not followed their apparent progress.

That leaves Suki approaching their next steps without knowing the full extent of Ash’s feelings. Alongside her conversation with Vinny, Ash is still carrying the rejection she felt when her mother told her she could not stay.
