EastEnders' latest developments put several characters under pressure as they question the people around them and attempt to uncover the truth. Kat Slater refuses to abandon her search for the man she believes let Zoe die, Cindy Beale investigates Max Branning's private life, and Lauren Branning begins digging into Ned's past despite being warned to keep her distance.
Kat Slater refuses to abandon Zoe's case

Kat and Alfie track down the former owner of Charlie's cab, hoping to make progress in the search for the man Kat believes let Zoe die. They discover that police have already cleared him, but Kat remains determined to seek justice. Jasmine becomes suspicious of Kat's behaviour and questions Alfie, while Cindy later learns about Kat's revenge plan.
Meanwhile, Jasmine, Josh and Oscar organise a bingo night in Zoe's honour to lift Mo's spirits.

Cindy Beale challenges Max Branning
Cindy's suspicions grow after her card is declined and she discovers a lipstick in Max's flat. She investigates his private life, confronts Lauren and learns about his plans to buy No.31 from Gemma. After overhearing Max on the phone in The Vic, Cindy finds something on their laptop that leads her to his secret New Zealand property. She exposes it during a viewing, prompting Suki to reject Max's offer in favour of another. HMRC subsequently catches up with the property, and Cindy demands answers.

Max responds by persuading Oscar to help him prove that his marriage to Cindy was never consummated. As drinks flow between Oscar and Cindy, her suspicions are eventually stoked.

Lauren Branning ignores Mark's warning
Lauren arranges to see Mark, but he pulls away after spotting Ned and Ryder. He insists that they keep their distance from Ned, yet Lauren later becomes suspicious of Ned's influence over Ian and investigates his background. Ryder offers a cryptic clue about Ned's former career, while Ian leans on Ned and takes encouragement from his words about his life.

Denzel Danes faces the consequences of blackmail
Denzel's blackmailer demands money, prompting Nugget to attempt to steal cash from the Minute Mart before Yolande intervenes. Denzel later pawns the signet ring given to him by Kim and Howie. Craig sends Denzel's photographs to the couple after Amy confronts him, leaving his loved ones horrified. Denzel admits why he sold the ring and later questions Amy's version of events, but she avoids answering.

Amy Mitchell faces difficult questions
Amy turns to Craig after the photographs are exposed.

When she mentions her upcoming inheritance, Craig sees an opportunity and agrees to leave Walford with her. Amy is also looking for a way to access her inheritance early, while remaining at odds with Jack. Denzel's subsequent questions add another complication.

Other developments around Walford
Gemma and Jodie attempt to hide their car troubles from Ned, but Phil initially refuses to help before Sharon encourages him to reconsider. Nancy learns about Elaine and Ian's fling, while Cindy's growing suspicions about Max and Lauren's concerns about Ned continue to create tension.
