EastEnders Spoilers 7–10 September: Max Vanishes Before Wedding

EastEnders puts Max and Cindy’s wedding under immediate pressure as Walford prepares for two ceremonies on the same day.

Cindy is getting ready to marry Max, but behind the scenes his family are trying to deal with a serious problem.

Max has disappeared, and they are forced to search for him without letting Cindy know that anything is wrong.

Her mood takes another knock when it becomes clear that Kim and Howie’s ceremony is proving the more popular choice with local residents.

Cindy is left feeling sidelined at exactly the moment she expected everyone’s attention to be on her.

Max eventually reappears and seeks out Linda, but their meeting goes badly. During the exchange, Linda learns that his relationship with Priya went far beyond friendship.

That discovery leads to another confrontation when Max later sees Priya. She is furious that Linda has been told, but the situation becomes even more damaging when Lauren hears enough to understand what has been happening.

Lauren makes it clear that she will not support Max on his wedding day, while Jack and Oscar are also left angry by his behaviour. Even so, they manage to get him to the ceremony before it is too late.

Cindy finally has Max beside her and the wedding appears ready to go ahead, but the situation changes again when Linda and Priya arrive.

Their presence brings Max’s secret directly into the ceremony, and the day quickly falls apart as the truth begins to catch up with him.

Kim and Howie face a very different wedding day. Kim is upset that Denise is not well enough to attend their original plans, so the couple take the ceremony to her instead.

They marry with Denise present in hospital, where the family also receive encouraging news about her treatment.

A provisional stem cell match has been identified, giving them another reason to celebrate.

Their reception continues back in Walford, although the mood is briefly disrupted when Ryder and Jodie are found helping themselves to drinks.

Elsewhere, Zoe becomes determined to buy Charlie’s old cab after discovering that it is being sold.

Kat plans to go with her, but she is distracted when concerns about Tommy demand her attention.

Zoe decides to handle the sale herself, but a disagreement with the seller escalates and she takes the vehicle without permission.

Kat is horrified when she discovers what has happened and is forced to help deal with the consequences.

Kat and Alfie eventually find the money needed to resolve the immediate problem, although the incident leaves Kat and Zoe at odds again.

Alfie later encourages Kat to try to repair their relationship.

Ravi also grows increasingly suspicious of Max after watching his interactions with Priya, while Linda continues to consider where things stand with Clive.

Nicola, meanwhile, learns more about what has really brought Gemma and Ned to Walford as their arrival continues to create problems.
