EastEnders has several major stories running across 24–27 August, with Denise’s medical emergency opening the door to a previously unknown part of her family. Suki and Eve also face a serious threat over Ria, while Priya and Ravi’s relationship reaches an important new stage.
Denise’s crisis uncovers a hidden family connection
Denise is placed into a coma on Monday, leaving Kim and Jack facing an increasingly worrying situation. Kim then discovers that Denise has a long-lost relative, bringing an unexpected new possibility into the family’s search for hope.
On Tuesday, Denise’s half-brother Darnell comes to visit her, but he is quickly overwhelmed by the situation. By Wednesday, Kim and Jack are pinning their hopes on Darnell and his daughter Grace as Denise remains seriously ill.
Suki and Eve face a fight over Ria
Tuesday brings devastating news for Suki and Eve when they discover that Ria’s mum may seek custody. The possibility immediately places uncertainty over Ria’s future and leaves the couple facing another difficult challenge.
Things escalate further on Thursday when Ria is hurt during the fallout from Alfie’s Benidorm-themed party. Suki is furious and threatens Kat with legal action, turning an already difficult situation into a much bigger confrontation.
Priya and Jean’s DNA plan gathers pace
Priya and Jean begin the week attempting to get DNA samples from both Max and Ravi. Their efforts add another mystery to proceedings as they try to obtain what they need without raising suspicions.
Priya’s week ends on a very different note when she and Ravi confirm their love for one another. By Thursday, the pair are looking towards their future together and considering what comes next for their relationship.
Amy faces developments with Joel and Denzel
Amy overhears an important new development in the investigation into Joel’s assault on Monday. The discovery gives her something serious to process as the investigation continues.
Her attention turns towards Denzel the following day when she decides to make a move on him. Denzel rejects her, leaving Amy dealing with a personal disappointment alongside everything happening with Joel.
Max and Kat’s celebrations bring trouble
Cindy asks Oscar to organise Max’s stag do on Wednesday, but Max is clearly uneasy about the arrangement. Meanwhile, Alfie starts putting together a Benidorm-themed party for Kat in an attempt to bring some fun to Walford.
The party runs into trouble on Thursday when a strict community officer shuts it down. The celebrations are then overshadowed completely when Ria is hurt and Suki threatens Kat with legal action.
