Kat remains deeply affected by losing Zoe and continues struggling to cope with the aftermath of her death. Jean attempts to lift her spirits by bringing her flowers, but they remind Kat of Zoe and her grief remains painfully close to the surface.
Rather than accepting support from those around her, Kat begins pushing away her loved ones. Her grief continues consuming her and she turns to alcohol as she struggles with everything that has happened.
Kat eventually suffers a breakdown, prompting Phil to step in and try to help her.
His intervention does not bring an end to the situation, however, as Kat’s behaviour continues to spiral when she returns to The Vic.
The emotional fallout then places further strain on her relationship with Alfie. Their argument continues as emotions remain high, leaving the couple facing serious uncertainty about where they stand.
By the end of the week, Kat and Alfie’s relationship is left hanging in the balance as Kat continues struggling with Zoe’s death.
The latest developments follow an already devastating period for Kat and her family, with Zoe’s death continuing to affect life in Walford.
While Jean tries to provide some comfort and Phil steps in when Kat reaches breaking point, Kat remains consumed by her grief and increasingly pushes away the people trying to support her.
With her drinking escalating, her emotions spilling over at The Vic and her argument with Alfie continuing, Kat faces another painful week as she attempts to live with the loss of her daughter.
