EastEnders spoilers 12 to 15 October as Amy’s lies unravel

Amy’s increasingly complicated relationship with Craig causes fresh concern in EastEnders as she begins distancing herself from friends and hiding more of what is happening from her family.

Amy visits Denise in hospital, where Denise encourages her to focus on her studies instead of becoming distracted by her boyfriend. Despite the advice, Amy struggles to ignore Craig as he continues demanding her attention.

Her growing distance from her friends soon causes tension.

Amy invites Lily to Craig’s flat, unaware that Lily has already told Ricky where she is and that the others are going to turn up.

Meanwhile, Jack discovers that Amy has been skipping classes. Phil encourages him to speak to his daughter, leading to a heartfelt conversation between Jack and Amy at home.

Jack comes away believing that Denise’s illness is behind Amy’s recent behaviour, but Amy does not tell him everything that has been happening.

Her problems grow when Craig discovers evidence that other people have been inside his flat. He later finds Denzel’s ID and confronts Amy about what has happened.

Penny also attempts to get answers from Amy after Jack asks for her help, but Amy remains tight-lipped while Craig continues bombarding her with messages.

Craig eventually tells Amy to prove her loyalty by showing him her phone. While looking through it, he discovers a shirtless photograph that Denzel recently sent her.

Amy explains the photograph and Craig accepts what she tells him, but the discovery leaves his resentment towards Denzel growing.

With Jack believing Amy’s behaviour is connected to Denise and Penny unable to persuade her to explain what is happening, Amy continues keeping the truth to herself while Craig becomes increasingly focused on Denzel.

EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
