EastEnders Recap and Coming Up – What Happens After Amy’s Ordeal as Janine Returns?

EastEnders delivered a dramatic week as Amy escaped Craig’s abuse, Lee’s drinking caused further problems for the Carters and Max struggled to stay out of Linda’s family affairs.

Here’s what happened from 2–5 November and what’s coming up in the four episodes airing from 9–12 November.

What happened last week?

Amy’s frightening ordeal reached its conclusion after Craig took her to a bedsit and planned to leave the country with her.

When Amy attempted to contact her family, Craig became violent. She struck him with a candlestick while trying to escape, which resulted in his death.

Amy returned to Walford, leaving Jack, Denise and the family deeply concerned about what she had experienced.

Meanwhile, Linda challenged Lee over his drinking, but his behaviour worsened when he caused an embarrassing scene at Nancy’s antenatal class.

Max continued interfering in Linda’s family problems despite her objections, while Cindy remained unhappy about his relationship with Linda.

Elsewhere, Ian and Elaine shared an unexpected kiss following a disagreement over bonfire night, and Gemma received encouragement from Honey to start a book club.

What’s coming up this week?

Linda becomes increasingly worried about Lee when she receives a shocking phone call on his mobile.

After confiding in Elaine, Sharon and Max, she realises she must confront Janine. However, Linda struggles to accept what Janine tells her, and Max makes a potentially damaging decision while trying to help.

The situation becomes even more complicated when Nancy goes into labour, leaving Johnny, Elaine and Zack desperately trying to contact Linda and Lee.

Lauren and Mark continue their secret relationship but struggle with guilt over Ryder’s attack. With Ryder growing closer to Ian, their affair becomes increasingly difficult to conceal.

Meanwhile, Suki and Eve face another obstacle in their adoption plans when Ria’s biological mother, Harleen, requests a meeting. Ash’s disagreements with Suki threaten to undermine their efforts, despite Sharon’s encouragement.

Amy also struggles with the aftermath of Craig’s death, prompting her family to arrange time away from Walford.

Elsewhere, Kat takes another emotional step in grieving for Zoe when she begins clearing out her daughter’s bedroom.

With Janine back in Linda’s life and Max determined to help, could the Carters be heading for another family crisis?
