EastEnders Priya Stunned as Ravi Proposes Amid Max Affair

Ravi Gulati is preparing to make his biggest move yet in EastEnders as he asks Priya Nandra-Hart to marry him, but there is one enormous problem standing in the way. Priya is still caught up in her secret affair with Max Branning, leaving her facing an increasingly difficult decision when Ravi puts his heart on the line.

Since returning to Walford, Ravi has been determined to make amends with his family and prove to Priya that he can be the man she needs. What he does not know is that while he has been trying to rebuild their relationship, Priya has been secretly seeing Max behind Cindy Beale’s back.

Priya originally slept with Max after Ravi left and she was nursing a broken heart, but what began as an escape has developed into an ongoing affair. Despite the danger of being discovered, Priya and Max have continued meeting in secret and have already endured several close calls.

Ravi, meanwhile, becomes increasingly determined to convince Priya that he is serious about their future. After opening up to Zack Hudson about his feelings, he is encouraged to stop holding back and make a grand gesture that proves exactly how much Priya means to him.

Taking the advice on board, Ravi begins planning a proposal. He arranges for Priya to meet him at The Boxing Den, where he prepares to get down on one knee and ask her to become his wife.

The proposal could hardly come at a more complicated moment for Priya. As Cindy prepares for her hen celebrations, she asks Priya to help with the party, leaving Priya feeling increasingly guilty because Cindy has no idea that her friend has been sleeping with her fiancé.

Priya knows she needs to bring the affair to an end before things spiral any further. She heads to Max’s flat intending to tell him that whatever has been happening between them must stop, although whether Max is prepared to accept her decision is another matter.

That leaves Priya heading towards Ravi’s romantic surprise with more than one relationship hanging in the balance. Ravi believes he is showing Priya that he is finally ready to commit completely, while Priya knows the truth about Max could destroy the future he is offering her.

The biggest decision will ultimately belong to Priya. Ravi is ready to ask her to build a future with him, but accepting his proposal would mean leaving Max behind and carrying an explosive secret into their relationship.

With Max also preparing to marry Cindy, the consequences could stretch far beyond Ravi and Priya if their affair is finally exposed. For now, Ravi remains completely unaware of what has been happening behind his back as he prepares to make the ultimate declaration of love.
