Patrick has always been one of the steadying influences within the Fox Truman family, and in upcoming EastEnders scenes he quickly finds himself trying to heal old wounds after returning to Walford.

His emotional reunion with Denise is one filled with relief, with Patrick determined to support his daughter as she continues treatment for leukaemia. However, it does not take long before he realises her illness is only one of the problems facing the family.

Conversations are strained, emotions are running high and the pair seem unable to agree whenever Sheila's name is mentioned. Patrick finds himself caught between the two women, desperate to understand why their once close relationship has become so fractured.

Having been away from Walford, Patrick has missed many of the events that have led to the current situation. As family members begin filling him in, he learns just how much influence Sheila has gained and why Denise has become so suspicious.

Patrick understands Denise's instinct to protect her family, but he also recognises Chelsea genuinely believes Sheila has been helping during a difficult period.

Rather than choosing sides, Patrick hopes he can encourage Denise and Chelsea to listen to one another before the disagreement causes lasting damage. His priority is easing the pressure on Denise, who already has enough to cope with without constant family conflict.

He does his best to reassure Denise that she is not facing her illness alone, while also trying to convince Chelsea that keeping communication open is the only way the family can move forward together.

Unfortunately, the situation continues becoming more complicated.

As Patrick settles back into Walford life, Sheila carries on strengthening her relationship with Chelsea and spending more time around Jordan. Although Chelsea views her actions as supportive, Denise remains convinced there is another agenda.

Patrick can clearly see both sides of the disagreement.

He understands why Denise cannot ignore her concerns, but he also sees how difficult it is for Chelsea to question someone she believes has shown kindness and compassion. That leaves him acting as peacemaker, hoping to prevent the divide becoming impossible to repair.

Whether his efforts will be enough remains uncertain.

Patrick has often been the heart of his family during their darkest moments, offering wisdom and calm when emotions threaten to boil over. His return could not have come at a more important time, but even he may struggle to stop events from spiralling if Denise and Chelsea continue drifting further apart.

With Sheila continuing to work quietly behind the scenes, Patrick's biggest challenge may not be bringing his family back together. It may be convincing them to trust each other before it is too late.
