EastEnders Nugget defies Suki by giving Ash a surgery job
EastEnders sees Nugget hire Ash at the surgery after Suki refuses her a job, putting him at the centre of a family dispute as Eve tries to keep the peace.
Nugget finds himself making a decision Suki strongly opposes in upcoming EastEnders scenes. After Ash is refused work at the surgery, she approaches him directly and persuades him to give her a job.
Having inherited the business, Nugget is in a position to help when Ash’s request to her mum goes nowhere. His agreement gives Ash a way to work in Walford, where she is determined to remain despite the worsening family tension.
The dispute follows Suki’s decision to contact Ash’s wife, Gigi, in search of answers about her return. Suki cannot understand why Ash has come back when she is supposedly enjoying life in Canada, but Eve warns her against continuing to pry.
During Nugget’s surprise birthday party at Harry’s Barn, Suki’s questions make Ash realise that her mum has been investigating her private life. Attempts by Vinny and Penny to encourage a reconciliation fail, leaving the disagreement unresolved.
Work then becomes another point of conflict. When Suki refuses to employ Ash at the surgery, Ash turns to Nugget and later tells her mum that she has secured the position through him.
Suki responds by trying to persuade Nugget not to hire her. Eve again attempts to calm the situation, offering support while trying to prevent the disagreement from escalating further.
Before the family can settle the matter, Denise collapses in the Square. Ash immediately goes to her aid, putting the argument aside and using her medical experience to help.
The emergency interrupts the dispute over her job. Nugget has agreed to employ Ash, but Suki’s opposition remains unresolved as everyone’s attention turns to Denise.
