EastEnders Nicola stunned as entire family arrives in Walford

Nicola is in for an unwelcome surprise in EastEnders when several members of her family suddenly arrive in Albert Square, immediately leaving her furious about their unexpected appearance.

The new arrivals include Nicola’s sisters Gemma and Jodie, her mum Rose, brother-in-law Ned and nephew Ryder. Their arrival brings a large part of Nicola’s family into Walford at once, but she is far from pleased to see them.

Rather than welcoming her relatives with open arms, Nicola reacts angrily to their appearance. Whatever has brought the family to Albert Square, it is clear from the outset that their reunion is going to be anything but straightforward.

The arrival also introduces several new relationships around Nicola, giving viewers a first look at the wider family dynamics surrounding her. With two sisters, her mum, a brother-in-law and a nephew all suddenly nearby, Nicola is faced with considerably more family involvement than she appears to want.

There is an immediate surprise elsewhere when Alfie spots Ned and realises the newcomer is someone he already knows. Their unexpected connection suggests Ned’s arrival in Walford will not only affect Nicola, as his past with Alfie gives him another link to life on the Square from the moment he arrives.

For Nicola, however, the focus remains firmly on the sudden appearance of her relatives. Her furious reaction makes it clear there are unresolved issues within the family, even before the real reason behind their arrival becomes clear.

Gemma, Jodie, Rose, Ned and Ryder are now all in Walford, giving Nicola little opportunity to avoid whatever has brought them there. Their arrival marks the beginning of a new family drama, with tensions already running high before they have had time to settle in.
