EastEnders Max Disappears as Cindy’s Wedding Faces Disaster
EastEnders sees Cindy’s dream wedding thrown into doubt when Max suddenly disappears, leaving Jack and Oscar racing to find the missing groom.
Coming up next week on Eastenders, Cindy Beale has been counting down to the day she finally marries Max Branning, but her carefully planned wedding is thrown into serious doubt when the groom suddenly disappears.
The day is already complicated before Max goes missing. Cindy and Max are due to marry at the same time as Kim and Howie, leaving Walford residents deciding which ceremony they want to attend. Cindy is far from impressed when it becomes clear that Kim and Howie have attracted plenty of support from friends and neighbours.
What Cindy does not realise is that the biggest problem is much closer to home. Max has been trying to contain the fallout from his affair with Priya, and the secret is becoming increasingly difficult to control. Linda has discovered what has been going on, while Lauren is also furious after learning what her father has done.
With emotions running high, Max vanishes just hours before he is supposed to marry Cindy. Those around Cindy try to keep his disappearance quiet while secretly attempting to locate him. Jack and Oscar eventually become involved, determined to find Max and get him back before Cindy realises her groom has gone AWOL.
The search eventually pays off, but simply finding Max does not solve everything. Jack and Oscar still have to get him to the venue on time while Cindy continues preparing for what she believes will be the wedding she has wanted.
Even if Max makes it to the ceremony, there is another huge problem waiting to surface. Cindy is preparing to marry a man who has been keeping his affair with Priya from her, and several people around them now know the truth. Linda’s discovery means Max’s secret is becoming increasingly difficult to bury, while Lauren has made her feelings about his behaviour very clear.
For Cindy, the day is supposed to represent a fresh start with Max. Instead, she could be walking towards a marriage already surrounded by betrayal, lies and unanswered questions.
The biggest question now is not simply whether Max reaches the ceremony. It is whether Cindy actually gets the wedding she has spent so long planning once everything happening behind her back begins to catch up with him.
