EastEnders Lily turns to Harvey as university row with Jean deepens

Lily is set to make another move towards her future in EastEnders as her plans for university create fresh tension with Jean. Coming up on Thursday, Lily seeks Harvey’s support after struggling to get Jean on board with what she wants to do next.

The disagreement centres on Lily’s determination to continue her education and consider university. Rather than abandoning her plans, she turns to Harvey for advice and later asks him to support her at a college interview.

Harvey agrees to help, but his involvement leaves Jean furious when she discovers he has been encouraging Lily. The disagreement places Harvey between Lily and Jean at a time when Lily is trying to make decisions about her own future. For Lily, his support gives her somebody willing to listen to what she wants rather than dismissing her ambitions.

Jean eventually begins to soften, giving Lily the chance to focus on the interview and what she wants to achieve. After everything the Slaters have been dealing with recently, Lily’s education plans give her a storyline firmly focused on what she wants her own future to look like.
