EastEnders Lauren Branning faces fresh Mark temptation despite choosing Peter

Lauren is set to face another test in upcoming EastEnders scenes when Mark unexpectedly returns to Walford. She has already made her decision about Peter, but seeing Mark again threatens to stir up feelings she has been trying to leave behind.

Mark's appearance catches Lauren by surprise after she believed he was preparing to move away. He explains that his return to Albert Square will only be short-lived because he needs to tie up some loose ends before moving permanently to Florida.

Lauren attempts to remain focused on the future she has chosen with Peter. However, Mark's presence means she is forced to confront their connection again rather than simply putting it behind her.

The pair encounter each other again at Harvey's birthday celebrations, creating another potentially uncomfortable moment for Lauren. She ultimately returns home to Peter, reinforcing the choice she has already made about their relationship.

Even so, Lauren finds herself unable to completely stop thinking about Mark. His return may only be temporary, but it is enough to leave her wrestling with feelings she believed she had put to one side.

There is no confirmation in the information released that Lauren and Mark begin another affair or that Lauren leaves Peter. Instead, the upcoming scenes place temptation directly back in Lauren's path just as she is trying to move forward.
