EastEnders Denise Fox donor twist as Darnell reveals he could be a match

Denise receives potentially important news in upcoming EastEnders scenes when Darnell reveals that he could be a donor match. However, the possibility of him helping his sister is immediately complicated by his deep fear and trauma surrounding hospitals.

Denise urgently needs a stem-cell transplant, but the donor she had been waiting for has not come forward. The situation leaves her family desperate for another option as uncertainty continues over whether a suitable donor can be found.

Darnell then reveals that he could potentially be a match for Denise. Getting tested could provide the family with another possibility, but Darnell is reluctant to go ahead because of his existing feelings about hospitals.

Denise is understandably disappointed by his decision, yet she ultimately puts her own fears aside and accepts how he feels. Jack finds the situation much harder to understand and is less willing to accept Darnell's reluctance when Denise urgently needs help.

The revelation leaves Denise facing another agonising wait. Darnell being a potential match does not mean he has been confirmed as a suitable donor, and he would first need to overcome his reluctance to be tested.

With Denise's need for a transplant continuing, the possibility that her own brother could help her adds another emotional complication for the family.
