EastEnders Craig hides disturbing police secret from Amy Mitchell

Amy remains unaware of a major secret surrounding Craig in upcoming EastEnders scenes as she continues placing her trust in him. Their relationship is becoming increasingly personal, but Craig has failed to tell Amy about serious problems that have emerged within his own job.

Unbeknown to Amy, Craig has been suspended from public police duty following a series of complaints at work. The exact nature of those complaints has not been revealed in the information released, leaving an important unanswered question hanging over his behaviour.

Amy continues believing Craig is somebody she can depend on. He gained her confidence after agreeing not to tell police about her confession concerning the attack on Joel, and their bond develops further as she shares increasingly painful experiences with him.

When Craig sees Amy's self-harm scars, she initially runs away. Their connection does not end there, however, as Amy later talks to him about losing Roxy and allows him further into her personal life.

The contrast between what Amy knows and what is actually happening around Craig makes the situation increasingly troubling. She sees a trusted adult willing to listen to her while remaining completely unaware that he has been removed from public-facing police duties following complaints.

EastEnders has already confirmed that Craig will manipulate and groom Amy over the coming months. His suspension therefore adds another worrying element to the storyline as Amy becomes increasingly dependent on someone she believes she can trust.
