EastEnders Cindy exposes Max's secret property as HMRC catches up with him

Cindy Beale turns the tables on Max Branning in EastEnders after uncovering his secret New Zealand property, putting his attempt to buy No.31 in jeopardy.

Cindy's suspicions grow after she finds lipstick in Max's flat and becomes determined to discover what he is hiding. She digs into his affairs and eventually warns Lauren not to trust him, revealing what she has found on their laptop.

During a viewing of No.31, Cindy exposes Max's hidden property in New Zealand, undermining his efforts to secure the house. Suki rejects Max's offer in favour of another, leaving him humiliated and furious enough to declare war on Cindy.

His troubles deepen when HMRC catches up with him over the New Zealand property. Cindy remains convinced that he is concealing more information and demands answers, while Max also tries to persuade Oscar to help prove that his marriage to Cindy was never consummated.

With his plans for No.31 derailed and official scrutiny mounting, Max faces pressure from several directions as Cindy continues to challenge him.
