When Cindy returns home, she discovers that Lauren and Peter have invited Max over to make amends. Their efforts backfire as the meeting descends into an argument, and the hostility later becomes public.
Peter eventually manages to soften Cindy’s position, securing an agreement that she will not pursue Lauren’s share of the car lot. His intervention protects Lauren’s stake in the business, although Cindy’s wider feud with Max continues.
Meanwhile, Priya challenges Cindy over her demand that she leave Walford. Having found the paternity test and threatened to expose the truth, Cindy now hears that Priya intends to stay.
However, an encounter with Linda and Oscar leaves Priya less certain. Their comments make her question the decision she has just defended, putting fresh pressure on her as she considers what to do.
