Could Debbie’s flirtation with Stan finally force Ronnie to tell the truth?

Ronnie Bailey could be forced to confront the problems in his marriage to Debbie Webster after walking in on her flirting with another man in Coronation Street.

Last week, Debbie became increasingly suspicious of Ronnie after seeing him behaving secretively.

She asked Abi to keep an eye on him, and Abi spotted him embracing another woman.

Ronnie later explained that the woman was connected to his support group, but his reluctance to discuss the situation left Debbie worried that he was hiding something.

The truth is more complicated than Debbie realises. Ronnie still fancies his wife, but he is struggling with concerns about how her dementia could affect their intimate relationship.

Rather than explaining his fears, he avoids a romantic moment with Debbie and pretends to have a headache after she accidentally calls him Darren.

In upcoming scenes, Ronnie admits his concerns to Ed, who urges him to speak honestly with Debbie. However, the conversation may come too late to prevent further hurt.

Debbie’s problems at the Chariot Square Hotel add to the pressure. After making a mistake with a wedding booking and facing a confrontation with Paula, an ex-con from her past, she finds herself in another uncomfortable situation.

When the bride-to-be’s fiancé, Stan, arrives, Debbie tells him that her husband no longer fancies her and offers him a drink.

Ronnie walks in and sees the flirtation for himself - will this moment be a turning point in their marriage?

Could seeing Debbie with Stan finally make Ronnie explain what is happening to him? Or will jealousy prevent them from having the honest conversation they both need?

Their marriage is being tested by more than one misunderstanding, and the next confrontation could determine whether they find a way forward together.
